Ask HN: Alternative to Shush?

I've been using Shush[0] for years as a quick and easy way to mute and unmute my mic as needed for meetings with a global hotkey. It's last update was 2014, and it has only recently stopped working with latest macOS (rather impressive).

Does anyone know of any similar solutions?
