Agentic:
- Kilocode in VSCode and Jetbrains IDEs. - Works very well but needs to be babysat. For models I had best results with GTM-4, Gemini 3 Pro and DeepSeek Coder (can't beat the price).
- Jetbrains AI tools and Juni. - Also works well but also required close supervision. Codex is my model of choice at the moment. Claude messed up my UI so I haven't tried it much.
Vibe:
I have had little luck getting anything useful out of these. They will build something and it won't work. I can then spend hours going back and forth telling them to fix it but they don't get anywhere. I have feeling I would be much better off going the Agentic way and babysit.
- Maestro - Doesn't produce anything that works. Can use up all my Claude credits in a short period of time and get nothing out of it.
- Kilocode (App Builder) - Doesn't produce anything workable.
- Antigravity - I run out of credits very quickly and it gets very expensive plus I don't see any usable results
Does anyone have better experience trying to "vibe code" (give a details command and walk away for a few hours) something?
